In 2014, I took my first steps on the NAM Stage, and I would’ve never believed that my name would be called as the 2014 NAM NJ Princess. In 2017, I touched that Stage for my second time, and would’ve never believed that my name would be called again, but this time as your reigning
2017 NATIONAL AMERICAN MISS NEW JERSEY JR. PRE-TEEN!!!
It truly showed that hard work, determination and being your absolute self, truly pays off!

I volunteered with the Angels Community Outreach, volunteered with the Making Strides against Breast Cancer Walk and Light the Night Walk for Leukemia and Lymphoma. For the Light the Night Walk, I organized “TEAM LOVE” in honor of my uncle who passed away from Leukemia and raised over $1500.

At Nationals I made so many memories and friends that I will forever cherish. I came home as the NATIONAL ACTRESS WINNER, 1ST RUNNER UP IN THE NATION TO THE JR. PRE-TEEN TITLE, && SPIRIT AWARD WINNER!!

After Nationals, I volunteered at a soup kitchen, with my newly crowned All American Jr. Teen Raven, partnered with my favorite organization Jump Rope for Heart, cooked for families at Ronald McDonald Houses, attended open calls and trainings, and traveled to two State Pageants as visiting Royalty, Central Florida and Southern New England. So thankful for my Bestie Jaycee and her family for allowing me to stay with them during the Central Florida Pageant and thankful for Raven and her mom, for allowing me to travel and stay with them during the Southern New England Pageant.

I loved getting to know and spending time with my sister queens. They are all such amazing role models. I am so sad our year is coming to an end.

NAM has helped me learn lifelong skills, that continue to help me as I am getting older. NAM has given me a voice. NAM has given me the confidence to be MYSELF. I was once bullied for my curly hair and I would always want to have it straight, but beyond thankful for the confidence NAM has instilled in me because now I embrace MY CURLS…PROUDLY!

I will forever cherish NAM for allowing girls to be themselves, for letting all girls know they are beautiful, no matter what, and that a crown and banner does not define that. NAM empowers all girls and this system really is more than just a crown and banner.

Every single girl that steps foot on that prestigious NAM stage is a Winner, whether they go home with a crown and banner or not.

To all the contestants, remember to be yourself and dream big!
As Harriett Tubman once said, “Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”
Keep that in my mind and you will go very far!
I can’t wait to meet everyone!

Signing off for now,
I am your 2017 National American Miss New Jersey Jr. Pre-Teen

A year ago I accomplished the title of National American Miss Oregon Jr.Teen! I was so excited that I was chosen to represent my beautiful state. Leading up to the state competition I worked so hard to prepare for the pageant. Long nights with my dad, hours practicing my introduction, and countless times practicing interview in the car. All of this hard work paid off in the end.

National American Miss has impacted my life in such a positive way. I started doing pageants when I was twelve and I started with NAM. I would have never thought that the shy twelve year old I was would turn into an empowering sixteen year old that I am today! Being a representative for National American Miss has taught me how to be an extraordinary woman in my community and how to represent myself. I feel if it wasn’t for NAM I would not be the girl I am today.

This year has been an absolute blast! I kicked off my year with my five beautiful sister queens and having appearances with them. We helped out at the Cascade Aids Project events, Ronald McDonald House, and participated in parades and photo shoots. I have created a special bond with my sisters and I am so blessed I was paired with them. The icing on the cake to my year was getting first runner up at the national competition. I know I made Oregon so proud!

National American Miss will always be my home, this organization has made me the wonderful girl I am and has changed so many young girls lives all over the country. I am truly thankful.

I know if it wasn’t for my amazing support system and family I couldn’t of accomplished my goals. I am thankful for all of them!

Signing off, I am your 2017 Miss Oregon Jr.Teen Shayla Montgomery!

What a spectacular journey this year has been! One year ago was one of the best moments of my life, being crowned your 2017 National American Miss Oregon Teen, a title I never would have thought possible four years ago when I started doing NAM. This shy young teen blossomed into a confident adult. I couldn’t be more grateful for all of the experiences and people that this pageant has brought into my life.

I started competing in NAM in 2014, after my older sister had been competing for two years. Looking back to my first pageant four years ago, I was a scared, sweaty, nervous, girl and seeing how far I’ve come is such an amazing feeling. I can now speak confidently in front of a crowd and am more confident in myself and more ambitious than I ever thought I’d be. The skills NAM has taught me will follow me through my life and I’m excited to keep growing and learning from experiences and programs like this one.

This year has brought me so many memories. I loved going to nationals and meeting all of my sister teen queens, they are such empowering women who inspire me everyday. Something really special about nationals this year was that I got to be there with both of my sisters, who qualified for nationals. My first year at NAM we were all there together, and this was the last year we could all be there as competitors - it was a blessing to be there with them.

Throughout the year I continued to promote my platform of a cleaner, healthier environment by picking up garbage off the side of the 60 miles of scenic Oregon and donated collected cans and bottle returns to local charities. I had the opportunity to make and handout lunches to the homeless in Portland, volunteer with Hood To Coast Relay, and go to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival with my sister queens.

Thank you National American Miss for changing my life and to all of my friends and family for supporting and motivating me through this entire journey!

As my year comes to an end I still can't believe I was crowned National American Miss Oregon Princess. A goal of mine that I had been working so hard towards for two years. Since then I have been busy with parades, appearances, photo shoots and volunteering all while just enjoying my year with my amazing group of sister queens.
This whole experince has been amazing, from preparing for nationals, to competing in Anaheim and making so many new friends from around the Nation, this has been an experince of a life time.
From going out and feeding the homeless, to volunteering at the LWLC Labor Day Picnic to the Good and in the Hood Parade and supporting my sister queens platforms, queens sleep overs and photoshoots... WOW what a year!
This year has been an unforgettable year but I could not have done it without the support of all of my amazing family, from my little brother that sits thru countless hours of pageant preparation, to my mom, dad and grandma making it possible.
To my successor, enjoy every minute of your reign because 365 days are not enough to enjoy all the amazing opportunities this crown will bring you.

Love, Your 2017 National American Miss Oregon Princess

Hello, fellow finalists
Yes, I am saying this to all of you. I think every girl at NAM is a winner. I really want you girls to remermber that a pageant is not all about winning, it is about making lots of new friends, as well as having life long memories to keep. By the end of this week I want you to have at least five friends that would be life long friends.
Last year when I won Covergirl for Washington State I felt that it was the best thing that ever happened to me because, I got to go to nationals and be part of the State court of royalty. I have been doing NAM since I was 5 years old. When I first attended the pageant, I was so nervous. My second year I went to Nationals, that was the very best because I made ambassador.
To me NAM is a place that lets girls be who they want to be. NAM shows girls to be confident and to have self exteem. Nam is a placer for girls to learn lessions for later in life to make friends and to have a lot of fun. Nam is a place that empowers girls to be proud of who they are. This is why I love NAM.
This year I have volunteered at Toys for Tots, R.A.G.S. (Bremerton WA Rotory Association Garage Sale)and Marys Place in Seattle. Helping with Toys for Tots was so much fun, I got to help put toys in bags to give the kids, that would not have been able to get Christmas presents. Helping them made me feel good about helping others and I had so much fun. R.A.G.S Rotory Rummage / Garage Sale is where I had a blast, I also got to help sale raffle tickes for the people to be able to get college and other types of scholarships. While at the R.A.G.S. Sale I got to meet Miss Silverdale when I was there. Marys Place in Seattle WA is where I donated my school supplies, we go there a lot to help out with the homeless Mother’s with children. I felt that this was aways a nice place to go volunteer, because you never know if you will end up there one day. I was told having someone around our age there helping, is something the teen was really needing, when you are at that point in there life. I found out that doing this type of volunteering was a lot of work and tears.
I want to thank the Mayes, Breaane and Miss Dawn Lee. Thank you, so much for giving me the advise, answering my many of questions and allowing me to assist you with your pageant. As well as giving me this oppertunity to grow in empowerment this year, this experience will last a life time. To my sucessor, the year is going to go fast, so enjoy it as much as you can and make the most of it. I did I visited a few states like Nebraska, and Florida.Although I didn’t get to hang out with my sister queens. I know them from the years and know that they are great Queens and I was proud to be part of their court because they are all ways the best. I am you National American Miss Washington State 2017 Preteen Covergirl / National American Miss 2017 2018 National Preteen Covermodel..

I will never forget the moment when they were about to call the queen, I squeezed my eyes shut, " she is your new Queen she is ..........Lena Flores"!! I was so excited, iam sure my face showed it. After hours of working hard and preparing,  my dream came true. I was soooooooo happy!!

The year was a whirlwind,  making appearances,  photoshoots & parades with my 5 unique and amazing sister queens. Each so special in their own way.
Throughout my reign, I have grown so much, before I was quiet and reserved in public. I now smile bigger, am more confident and positive, and walk just a little bit taller. (Not that much Lol)

This year, I volunteered at Centro cultural, oregon food bank and feed the hungry with my sister queens. Always having a blast!

To my successor: laugh, smile & enjoy every single minute! - you earned it!

Shout out to my baby sister Mila-Rubi for hanging out (bored out of your mind) at endless hours of pageant stuff with me! You are the BEST EVER!

This year has been unforgettable and something I will cherish my whole life.

Peace & Love

After four years in a row of being 1st runner-up, the overwhelming happiness consumed me when my name was called as the 2017 National American Miss Oregon Pre-Teen!  Throughout the year, I have had so much fun making awesome new friends and memories!  My sister Queens and I have done multiple parades, have had many laughs and smiled for a lot of pictures!
My favorite event this year was going to the Tulip Festival.  I really enjoyed looking at all the booths and smelling all the pretty flowers.  I also had the privilege of volunteering.  This year, I loved volunteering at the Brookdale Senior Olympics, as well as, helping out with anything needed at the Ronald Mc Donald House.   Every other week I was teaching crafts at RMDH Fun Junction and I also enjoyed dressing up and handing out programs at the RMDH Hearts & Hands Gala. Another favorite event for me was collecting over 400 toys for the Holiday Store at RMDH for Christmas.  I was also able to donate books and school supplies to several organizations that were in need of them.  In addition, my program, “Arts for the Ages” donated over 100 items to the NAM Serves project in Texas.  It feels so good to be able to help others.  My motto is:  “In order to make a difference, you have to Be the Difference.”  I challenge everyone to “Be the Difference.”
Being at NAM Nationals was a blast!  I won the Essay contest in which I wrote about “A G.I.R.L. With Dreams” and I also placed 2nd in Spokesmodel giving a speech by the same title, that I also wrote.  I was so proud to represent Oregon and to be able to see so many friends that I have made throughout the years, along with the National Staff … they make the entire experience so much fun!
Thank you’s have to be delivered.  To each of my sister Queens, I love you all so much.  Thank you for constantly being fun to be around and staying true to yourselves.  To my Grammy and Grampy, for always supporting me.  To Mr. and Mrs. Mayes (our new pageant parents), I can never thank you enough for the opportunities that you have brought my way via National American Miss.  I cannot forget about my Momma.  She does endless things for me in the payment of love.  Thank you Mommy so much for always over achieving the role of being a Mom.  Finally, to God ... my rock and Father.  I thank you, Lord, for giving me strength and perseverance to pursue my dreams.
A quick note to future Pre-Teens:   I know that you may hear this often, but the key to winning, is to Be You!  Let’s not forget the simple phrase of “Have Fun!”  Show the world who YOU are and Shine Bright!
With much love and pride, I will forever be your 2017 National American Miss Oregon Pre-Teen!

I am Aubrielle Hall your 2018 NAM Iowa Princess Queen writing to say good-bye and express my final thoughts on my fabulous year as Iowa Princess. There have been so many memories that I will always cherish and friends that will be friends for years to come.
I’ve enjoyed being able to serve my community by participating in Meals from the Heartland packing meals that will reach all over the world. I also worked with the Elks Lodge Local 160 during their Christmas party/giveaway and during their Easter weekend festivities. It was fun to interact with all the families and help the kids pick out gifts. The East Side Family also showed me lots of love and support. They allowed me to come and speak as well as serve at the annual Eastsider Block Party.
I’ve had lots of great opportunities to make appearances and meet other little girls aspiring to do what I’ve done this year. The YMCA Community-fest was lots of fun and had good food, games and prizes. I even got to get on stage and do my backpack giveaway.
As my year of service and fun is coming to a close I want to reach out to all the little girls working hard to step into my shoes. Be brave, be strong, and have fun! This is an opportunity to represent your state at home and on the national level. Embrace the process and be yourself!
Love,
Aubrielle Hall
