My year as 2014 Miss Texas Preteen
has been amazing. I have made life-long friends, and l can not thank NAM enough
for the opportunity. I was a part of the Texas Reads One Book spear headed by
Dallas Cowboys Head Coach Jason Garrett. I truly enjoyed sharing this
experience with the kids at the Boys and Girls Club. Although this year has
flown by, I have savored every moment. Spending time with my pageant sisters in
California will forever be a part of me. To all of my pageant sisters, I love
you and remember Ephesians 2:10 We are God’s masterpiece. He has created us
anew in Jesus Christ, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago. Thank
you to my parents, grandparents, and my little brother Maddox for all of your
support. To Ashlyn, my cousin and bestie, thanks for always believing in me. I
love you.

Emily McNeal Miss Texas Pre-Teen has been an Amazing Role Model!
Words can't describe the amazing year I had as your 2014 Miss Texas Preteen!
I had the time of my life volunteering and representing National American Miss. This year I volunteered at the D'Feet Breast Cancer event with some of my sister queens, a few of us worked at the Houston Food Bank together, I spent a rewarding day helping at the Beaumont Buddy Walk, and loved spending my time with the most amazing girls at Texas' Miss Amazing Pageant. I held a sock drive for a local women and children's shelter, I collected and donated art supplies for Texas Children's Hospital, Trick-or-Treated for canned goods to donate to the food bank, I worked with another sister queen at a HEB with their Tackle Hunger campaign, and I held a state wide blanket making event that benefitted cancer patients. I even read to kids at my old elementary school and talked to them about how important it is to be yourself.
Nationals was a dream come true! It's an experience I'll never forget and I'm so glad to have met and spent time with so many of my sister queens from across the nation. I had the time of my life at Disney and on the Hollywood Tour!! I was so honored to take home an overall top 10 trophy, 2nd RU for Photogenic and and re-competing in the Spokesmodel competition and placing 4th RU!
After Nationals I almost couldn't wait to meet girls from all over the state of Texas at Open Calls and Training Sessions! I remember how special it was going to my Open Call and meeting a NAM queen. I dreamed that one day I would be there wearing the crown and banner, and that dream came true! I had fun taking pictures with the girls and getting to know some on Instagram. I loved talking to them, answering questions and sharing my excitement and experiences with NAM. I was also excited to get to share my heart for volunteering with them while we made blankets to give to Cancer patients.
I really enjoyed going to other state pageants as Visiting Royalty and helping out! It was an honor to represent Texas and be with my NAMily from other states!
I had the most amazing time with my sister queens this year! We have a bond that will never be broken. Spending time with them, having photo shoots, taking selfies with our selfie sticks, riding in parades, volunteering, and at NAM events was the most fun. I loved every moment with them; every picture we took and every goofy thing we did!
Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Mayes for creating an organization where girls can stretch themselves and grow into confident, equipped young women, all while being themselves. I also want to thank you for having amazing staff who really love their jobs and pass their infectious love of NAM on to others. I had a wonderful year; wearing a NAM crown and banner was a dream come true.
Thank you Mom, Dad, Ethan and Elliot for always supporting me and being on my team. I love y'all more than I can say! Thank you, God, for giving me this opportunity to show love and kindness while wearing a crown.
Throughout my reign I wanted to make sure girls learned you don't have to be a "grown-up" to make a difference. Volunteering is just, seeing a need, and responding. I agree with John Kennedy when he said, "One person can make a difference, and every one should try." So, Be a Fire Starter and volunteer in your community!

A decade to remember.
Those are the words that come to mind
to describe my time with National American Miss.
When I began competing in 2005 at the
age of 7, I would never have expected that 10 years later I would be here with
3 state titles and priceless life skills. I am so blessed to have spent so much
of my life in a pageant system that teaches girls to embrace their God given
beauty and helps grow their confidence. When I heard my name called as the 2014
Miss Texas Teen, I was shocked beyond belief, and little did I know that God
was opening a door for one of the greatest years of my life! Before I
knew it I was off to the National pageant. I was so excited to make new
friends and be reunited with so many of my old pageant sisters! I was
honored to walk away with my 3rd the National Spokesmodel Title speaking on my
platform: Rachel's Challenge. There is no greater feeling than knowing that
every time I present my speech, I am changing the world, and for that I am
forever grateful. To finish off a perfect week at Nationals, to my complete
surprise, I walked away with a Top 10 Semi-finalist trophy and for that I am
very, very humbled.
Over these past 10 years, National
American Miss has become such an important part of my life and means so much to
me. Over this decade with NAM I have grown in my interview and leadership
skills, gained self-esteem and determination, and I have learned what it means
to be a confident young woman.
First and foremost, I would like to
thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Without Him, none of this would have
been possible. I give all the glory to Him! To Steve and Kathleen Mayes, thank
you for creating a pageant system where extraordinary girls get to do
extraordinary things all while feeling confident and beautiful in our own skin!
I cannot ever thank you both enough for all you do! To Mrs. Tiffany, Mrs.
LaKisha, Mr. Shane and all of the NAM staff who have become my second family
over these years; thanks for always being there to put a smile on my
face, and to wipe away a few tears every now and then! Love to ALL my
NAMily. To all my sister queens, I love every single one of you and I am
so happy to have spent this year with you. Thanks to my family; especially to
my mom who has been on this journey with me from 2005 to 2015. Thank you for
always encouraging me to follow my dreams even when it gets difficult.
Love you lots!
Contestants remember: pageant weekend
isn't about the crown. It's about creating a more confident and comfortable
YOU! Always keep that in mind and always remember that God has a very special
plan for each and every one of you! As my days of NAM competitions are
coming to an end, I will keep this one special saying very close to my heart:
"Old queens never die. They just become staff." National American
Miss has been home for me these past 10 years and always will be! Thanks to
everyone who has made my decade here at NAM so wonderful! And don't worry- I
WILL be back!
With that being said, signing off for
the last time, I was and forever will be, your National American Miss Texas
Teen 2014, Kaiden Lynn Maines.

Featuring Miss New Jersey Pre-Teen!
Being
crowned Miss NJ Pre-Teen was such an astonishing moment for me. I was pleasantly surprised and is still in
amazement that my name was called. I
participated with so many talented and beautiful young ladies, I am proud to say that I am a NAM girl, it has done so much for me, the life skills
that come from pageantry and this organization is priceless, girls learn to
dream big, and express themselves positively with respect, poise and
confidence.
Being a NAM
girl has made me realize that self-confidence is one of the greatest gift that
you can give yourself. Last year I was
featured in the movie “Shadows” about bullying.
It has become one of my platforms.
The fight against bullying has become one of great importance in our
society today among young people and in the school environment. . Self-confidence and self-respect and the
ability to bring your complaints to the attention of those in authority, is
simply the greatest way to fight them off.
NAM has
brought to many positive aspects to every pageant weekend, yet the positive
values, the fun experiences and enduring friendships last a lifetime. My own friendships with my sister queens has
become invaluable to me. We always have
so much fun together; whether we’re attending a community event, or during open
calls.
My year would not have even possible without the
everlasting love and support of my loving parents, the guidance of the perfect
perfectionist Miss T. and lastly I would
like to thank Steve and Kathleen Myers for creating a pageant system that
allows girls to be themselves and excel, showing the world that we can be smart
and beautiful, ready to conquer the world while wearing a crown and pretty high
heels, and for those of us who are not wearing that crown, you learn to embrace
yourself wearing that invisible crown with your chin up, shoulder back and a
big smile.

What an Amazing Year for Miss Texas Jr. Pre-Teen!
WOW!! I can’t believe it’s been a year since I was crowned the 2014 National America Miss North Texas Jr. Pre-Teen Division 1! I have had such an AMAZING year!
I was invited to meet the mayor of Tomball and was asked to start a city council meeting with the pledge of allegiance! It was such an honor. That day I met so many people in my community that were so excited for me and looked forward to working with me. It wasn’t long before I was invited to be in city parades, participate in several ribbon cuttings for new local businesses and help out with TONS of fun events in my community. It was CRAZY BUSY but CRAZY FUN!!
I met so many businesses owners I decided to challenge them to help me make a difference, benefiting the Houston Food Bank. I challenged local business to collect as many nonperishable food items as possible in 24 days! With their help I was able to donate over 1000 items to the Houston Food Bank. It was INCREDIBLE!!
It was a true blessing to represent Texas at Nationals as Central Texas! I loved spending time with my family, going to Disneyland, Hollywood, and having a blast with my NAMaily during all the pageant events. During my week at nationals I was so excited to have been chosen to receive one of the few NAM “spirit sticks” passed out at rehearsals! I am proud to say I earned a National Cover Girl title, 1st Runner Up for Most Promising Model, 1st runner up Miss Spirited and a Spirit of America award. At NAM nationals I made memories and friendships that will last a lifetime!
After nationals I was invited to help crown the new 2015 Miss. and Mrs. Wheelchair Texas Queens. It was such an amazing evening. I met so many beautiful young ladies and learned so much about the challenges some people face every day.
I was excited to participate in open calls! Had a BLAST with my sister queens and enjoyed spreading the word of what an AMAZING organization National American Miss really is!
I am so grateful for so many people who have helped make my year the amazing year it was.
Being a part of the NAMily has been a highlight in my life. The experience of being Miss Texas Jr. Pre-Teen has been remarkable! National American Miss has given me the confidence to try so many new things. It has taught me to set goals and work hard to reach them.
For the contestants participating in the North Texas pageant, I want to welcome all of you to a fun-filled and exciting weekend. Take this opportunity to meet new friends from all over our GREAT state of Texas. Remember to always SMILE and DREAM BIG. Best wishes and have a great time!
To my successor enjoy every moment of your time as Miss Texas Jr. Pre-Teen. Make a difference every day! Always make memories that will last a lifetime!

Farewell
Speech
One year
ago, I nervously stood on stage with some of my best friends that I had met
through NAM. Hearing my name called as the 2014 National American Miss Texas
Pre-teen was a moment I will never forget; blood rushing and a smile so big,
you could see it from outer space. After hearing, “Hannah Sizenbach,” I pinched
myself 3 times to make sure it wasn’t a dream. I take that back; it was a
dream, a dream come true. My first year with NAM, I was a shy nine year old
girl. Now after year number 3, as I crown my successor, I’m proud to say that I
am an outgoing, chatterbox of a thirteen year old. NAM has helped me find my
voice, whether I’m in a restaurant or presenting a speech to thousands across
the nation. Not to mention, my year of reign was the journey of a lifetime. I
was able to bring notice to organizations like the Granite Shoals Police
Officer Association, Fashion 4 Shelters, and countless more! I hosted toy,
school supply, and clothing drives, as well as putting together care packages
for children entering the CPS and recent flood victims. I was honored to be
able to attend Nationals in California over Thanksgiving. What better way to
spend the holiday than Disneyland, Hollywood, making new friends from across
the country, and having a blast with your family. None of it would’ve happened
without my mom; she takes me everywhere, makes me practice, and doesn’t let me
make too much of a fool of myself. But no matter what happens, she always loves
me. Then there is my dad who lets us use his credit card. Thanks Dad. My
“Pageant Fairy Godmother,” Billy Jones, was also a huge part of my success. He
wouldn’t let me attend an event without my hair done properly. I owe it to you,
Billy. Thank you to Kathy and Steve Mayes, for making the NAM stage a place to
call home. To my sister queens, I know I couldn’t have made it through the year
if it weren’t for our shared laughter. Last but not least, thank you to the NAM
judges. You guys were the ones who embarked me on such a magnificent journey
that I will never forget. To my successor, it may be the end of your
competition, but it’s the beginning of an awesome reign. For the last time, I
am your 2014 National American Miss Texas Pre-teen, Hannah Paige Sizenbach.

What an Awesome Year for Miss New Jersey Jr. Pre-Teen Soleil Thomas
Last
summer I had the biggest shock of my life when I heard my name being called as
your new Miss New Jersey Jr. Pre-Teen! This year flew by so fast and I can
honestly say that this has been the best year of my life!
NAM
has given me so much confidence and taught me so many life lessons. I want ALL
of this years contestants to know that this will be one of the best experiences
you will EVER have no matter the outcome!
You are ALL already winners and I hope you remember to smile, make new
friends, and have FUN!
To
start off my rein, I volunteered at my local animal shelter and raised over $1,000.
Next it was off to sunny California for Nationals! I made so many new friends
and I had such a great time! I was also able to visit a Homeless Shelter, build
a wall for Habitat for Humanity, travel to libraries across New Jersey to read
to kindergarteners, make appearances in Parades, help with open calls and
training sessions and was visiting royalty in Connecticut and Massachusetts!
I want to thank GOD, my Mom, Dad, my sister Ava, sister queens and all my
family and friends for being there for me no matter what! Thank you to ALL the
NAM staff and my NAMily, for everything! You are the reason my year has been so
great!

What an Amazing Year for Miss New Jersey Princess!
One year ago, I
took my very first steps on the NAM Stage. I would have never guessed I would
be crowned your 2014-2015 National American Miss New Jersey Princess. When I
heard my name called, I knew I won, but I didn’t really understand what I had
just won. Yea, I knew I won lots of cool prizes, but I didn’t know what it
meant to be your New Jersey Princess Queen. I mean hello, I was only 6! I don’t
even think my mom knew what I just won.
Meeting my sister
queens and their families for the very first time, will always be remembered
and cherished. It was about a month after our crowning and about a week before
my birthday and they surprised me with the American Girl Doll I wanted!
Isabelle, the Girl of the year. At that very moment, I knew what the word
“Namily” meant. My family just got bigger. My Sister Queens have been amazing
role models and I couldn’t have chosen a better group of girls to experience my
first year of pageantry with. Every time we are together, whether it is a fun
event, dinner, or a community event, it’s guaranteed, going to be a great day.
A day filled with lots of laughter and love. Oh and can’t forget pictures!
During my reign, I
helped raise awareness and money for Breast Cancer at a Pink Gala Event and
walked in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Walk, partnered with the
American Heart Association to help raise money and awareness for people who
suffer from heart disease, made guest appearances at many local events, spoke
to young girls about confidence and told them about my first pageant
experience, and even appeared in a few parades with my sister queens. My sister
queens and I also attended many open calls and trainings! I modeled in a
fashion show benefiting orphans in the Dominican Republic and was a special VIP
guest for Philly Kids Fashion Week, which benefited the Ronald McDonald House. Nam
has helped me learn lifelong skills that will help me as I grow older, that I
will forever cherish. I have enjoyed all of the opportunities given to me and I
have NAM and their AMAZING staff to thank for that!
Contestants, HAVE
FUN! Shake off all those butterflies and get ready to have a fabulous time!
Take lots and lots of pictures! You are going to go home with friends and
memories to last a lifetime! If this is your first time up on that stage,
relax, smile and show us your confidence! I was in the same position as you; I
stood on that very stage, with those same butterflies. Always remember though,
YOU ARE ALL WINNERS! No matter who is crowned, YOU ARE A WINNER.
To my successor,
continue to take lots and lots of pictures! Get ready for the ride of your
life! Enjoy every single moment because it will be over before you know it!
Love Always,

A few words from the 2014 National American Miss Pennsylvania Melessie Clark
My year as your National American Miss Pennsylvania has been nothing short of amazing. After capturing the Teen title in 2012, I was so honored to represent my state for the second time as your 2014 Miss Pennsylvania Queen. I had such a wonderful time at Nationals in Anaheim, California where I was reunited with my sister queens and friends I have made throughout my years with NAM (aka my NAMily)! I was so honored to have won several awards, including the National American Miss National Actress and Talent titles. Topping off the exciting week, I placed 2nd Runner-Up to the National American Miss title! I surely made memories that will last a lifetime. National American Miss has provided me with many wonderful opportunities.
During my year of service, I had the privilege of singing the National Anthem at several prestigious events, including my alma mater’s annual Veteran’s Day ceremony. I continued to promote the importance of giving back by participating in my alma mater’s hip-hop dance team’s fundraiser, "Who Do You Dance For?" dance-a-thon, in which proceeds went to charities like the Make-A-Wish Foundation. I also had the opportunity to speak with young girls in my community about “true beauty” and chasing their dreams. I am so thankful to my friends and family who have supported my journey with NAM. This organization holds such a special place and my heart and has taught me that with passion, persistence, and prayer, anything is possible. Because of the confidence NAM has instilled in me, I will never cease to dream big!

We are so proud of Miss Florida Jr. Teen!
Dear State Finalists and Families,
Congratulations on becoming a North Florida State Finalist! This is an honor you will carry with you, your entire life. This weekend will be one of the most fun and exciting weekends of your life.
Through my year as Miss Florida Junior Teen, I have met many lifelong friends and made many unforgettable memories. As my journey began, I met many of my fellow sister queens and immediately felt welcomed by the entire NAM staff. Spending time as visiting royalty at other pageants and at nationals with my sisters made a bond that will never be broken.
Nationals was definitely one of the most fun experiences during my reign. This is when all of your sister queens are in one place and you have time to bond. I got to experience Disneyland with all of my new friends and also had a fun photoshoot at the castle. Then I spent time with my family on the Hollywood tour. A very important aspect of your nationals experience is to become closer with your family members. They are there to support you and be
there for you when you get stressed. My mom was definitely my biggest cheerleader during that week, and I could not have made it through the week without her. It is so exciting to spend Thanksgiving at Nationals. I was surrounded with new friends and family who were there for me. During the Thanksgiving dinner my grandparents were honored as being the couple who had been married the longest. That was such an amazing moment to spend with my family there. At the end of nationals I was blessed to have made top 10 in the nation. When I was called for top 10, Rayvon Owen escorted and sang to each of us as we walked back onto the stage. A couple months later Rayvon came in 4th place on the popular television show American Idol. I will carry these amazing experiences with me for the rest of my life.
The most rewarding part of my reign was definitely my service works. I was blessed with the opportunity to read to The Trinity Rescue Mission children every other week. They named this time with the kids “Reading with the Queen.” However through this, I had the time to get to know some of the children, and spend time listening to them about their lives. When I first began volunteering there, I thought I was going to be giving them happiness, and that I would brighten their days a little. Although the children were always excited to see me, I definitely got more out of it than what I gave. The kid’s smiling faces always made my days better than what they were before. If I was having a rough day before I went to go see them, my day became more worth-while. Another one of my favorite events was when I participated in the Take Steps for
Crohn’s and Colitis walk. My next door neighbor was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, and I had the opportunity to walk with her in this walk. She was able to raise her goal amount, which will
go toward paying for some of her hospital bills.
Through my experiences with NAM, I gained newfound confidence. It gave me better speaking skills, interview skills, and taught me how to keep my poise in scary situations (like
speaking in front of people). This confidence definitely helped me when I went to a new school last year. I am so thankful for the opportunity NAM gave to my family and me.
I am so excited for you and your family’s weekend to begin. Through this I hope you make as many new friends as possible, become closer with your family, and gain confidence in the
beautiful girl you are! Be sure to compete this weekend with honor and grace. You deserve the best weekend possible and I hope you strive to accomplish all of your goals for this year.
Best of wishes to you and your family!

Miss Florida Teen!
Blain Waldorf once said, “The thing about new beginnings is that they require something else to end.” Even though this is a bitter / sweet moment for me, I could not have been more blessed to have had this journey. Just a year ago, I was going though the mall and found an open call letter addressed to me from National American Miss. I’ve never been more excited and nervous to try something new. The fun filled weekend at the pageant was more than I could put into words. I had this sense of a piece in my heart like I knew this was for me. When I heard my name called as your new Miss Florida Teen, my heart completely dropped. I couldn’t grasp that it was really me. I was shocked and thrilled to be crowned with this honorable responsibility. Right away I went straight to work, creating fundraising and speaking to girls of all ages, defining inner beauty. I had events for my family’s local charity, Foster Closet, a non profit for North Florida’s foster children.
My favorite part of my reign, would have to be all the amazing people I’ve met, they have all impacted my life.
National American Miss has taught me confidence. I’ve grown more confidence in myself. Not only on stage, but off in my everyday life.
I would like to thank God for giving me this wonderful opportunity to shine. To my Mom and Dad for their constant support and love.. Miss Lakisha. For cheering me on…And when my name was announceds as Teen Queen, My Family and Friends for being the loudest crowd ever! And of course, I could never forget my sister queens – Ava, Morgan, Kayley Erika, Jireh and Brittany….LOVE YA – Sista’s forever!!
And to my successor…Congratulations. You are in for the journey of your life, but remember one thing… Always stay humble! Things may not turn out the way your hoped, but there is a plan designed for you. You don’t need a sash around your chest and a crown around your head to make a difference in this world. You need to be yourself and everything else will fall into place.
Now I would like to pass this quote down to you. “It’s the oldest storing in the world. One day you’re seventeen and planning for someday and then quietly and without you ever really noticing someday is today. That someday is yesterday and this is your life. WE spend so much time wanting, pursuing, wishing – but ambinistion is good, chasing things with integrity is good, - Dreaming. If you had a friend you knew you would never see again what would you say? If you could do one last thing for someone you love what would it be? Say it! Do it! Don’t Wait! Nothing last forever. Make a wish. Place it in your heart. Anything you want everything you want. Do you have it? Good. Now believe it could come true. You never know where the next miracle is going to come from, the next memory, the next smile, and the next wish that will come true. But if you believe that it’s right around the corner, and you open your heart and mind to the possibility of it… to the certainty of it you just might be the thing you wished for. The world is full of magic; you just have to believe in it. So make your wish, do you have it? Good. Now believe in it with all your heart.

What an Awesome Year for Miss New York Princess!
I can’t believe it has been a year since I was crowned your
2014 National American Miss NY Princess. I have had the most amazing year full
of excitement and new experiences. Upon being crowned our town Mayor declared
September 23rd forever to be known as Lilly Fauci Day! Can you
believe that at 6 year’s old I have my own day!!! Then I was proclamated by the
State of NY for always reaching for my goals and being a good role model to
other children. I was able to use my title to help raise awareness for so many
organizations including St. Jude’s, the Muscular Dystrophy Association,
Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association, St. Rita’s Free Medical Clinic, the Harrison
Food Pantry, and the SPCA. I spent my year continuing to grow my confidence and
character through Girl Scouts, an organization that I strongly support, by
participating in food drives, donation collections, and cookie sales. I was the
2015 top cookie seller for my troop and helped donate over 200 boxes of cookies
for “Operation Cookie Drop”. I participated as a contestant in the Voice of NYC
to benefit St. Jude’s where I sang, “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables. It
wasn’t all work and I had lots of fun along the way. I spent the year hanging
with my sister queens as they visited NYC, to marching in parades, to launching
my modeling career. Going to Nationals was a dream come true. I met so many
girls just like me who want to help their communities, become leaders, and
change the world for the better. I made life long friends and saw those friends
shine at competition at Nationals. We
had a blast running through the streets of Hollywood and attending the super
fun rehearsals. I even got the coveted Spirit Stick!!! And of course, I can’t
believe that I made Top 5! Never stop dreaming big, never stop reaching for
your goals, always have your invisible
crown on, and remember you can do whatever you want, all you need to do is try!
Always and Forever, your 2014 National American Miss NY Princess Lilly Fauci.

Farewell for Miss New Jersey Pre-Teen Cover Girl!
I was extremely excited to become the 2014 Pre-teen Cover girl for National American Miss, and honored to represent this wonderful pageant system for the year. I enjoyed meeting and working with my sister queens, particularly Katie Sour, who has been my role model and friend for a few years. I also enjoyed getting to know the Sweetheart Cover girl Michaela. Although I was not able to go to the Nationals because my grandma got married during that time last Thanksgiving, I enjoyed promoting National American Miss while advancing my non-profit platform www.ChoosePositivePath.com and during my extensive travels with my family this past year. I proudly wore my crown and banner during the Walk the Positive Path event that I organized for the youth in my community and all the other charity events I attended. My crown and banner traveled with me everywhere from London and Berlin to Tallinn and Moscow. Being the NAM Covergirl helped me to start conversations with pre-teens everywhere about the daily choices they make and to hopefully inspire them to be friendly and helpful to others, to work hard to pursue their dreams and to stay away from the negative influences.
